Lisbon has a very unique environment. It combines the old and traditional streets, buildings and customs with the new and vibrant fluxes of people and entertainment.

What is the student lifestyle like in Tripoli?

The academic environment is very friendly and helpful. Everyone is very willing to help you in any trouble with school, and social integration comes very easily.

How much does it cost to live in Tripoli?

In relation to other North Africa Cities, Tripoli is quite cheap. Apartment (2 bedrooms + bathroom + kitchen + sitting room ) Rent is cheap averaging at about $300-$500 a month in the right areas.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tripoli? Is there any advice you can give?

I have never needed to find an appartment, but i would recommend online websites and ALWAYS go to the house to check it out first.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is amazing. For people who are not very used to seasoning and spices beware. we like our food filled with flavor. Try traditional plates like "pazin", "koskosi" "reshda" and "Libyan rice"

What places would you recommend visiting in Tripoli?

I would recomend the principal monuments like AlfatehTower, Alsaray museum,Gergaresh(for shopping), TripoliCastle and so on. But also visit the traditional streets of Alharaand Alrashid.

Is it good to eat out in Tripoli? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I recommend traditional small places, not the fancy restaurants, that are usually disappointing. If you are visiting Madina or Gergaresh, try family restaurant with a traitional meal.

What advice would you give future students heading to Tripoli?

The advice I would give is that you should take every opportunity you can to have fun in Tripoli . It's a great place to have fun with friends, and to enjoy the city.
