What is it like to live in Tirane? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Well Tirana is really noisy and kinda dirty. But it's a nice city and it has great people. It is well known for it's night life and the variety of bars, clubs, restaurants ect... It also has some great destinations around. I would recommend it for a couple of months not more :P

What is the student lifestyle like in Tirane?

Well you have a lot to do, because as I said there are some great destinations around the city and the night life is great. Also is quite a cheap city.

How much does it cost to live in Tirane?

Well in Tirane you have to use lek, which is really cheap compared to Euro and the European living standards. So it doesn't cost that much, not really.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tirane? Is there any advice you can give?

No, not really.
I mean if you are gonna stay for a short time it is pretty easy but if it is for a long time you have to search some more, because I wouldn't recommend dormitories and not all apartments are cheap.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is delicious and it has so many verities, it is also pretty cheap.
I would recomend you to try, byrek, burani, italian restaurants, traditional ones.

What places would you recommend visiting in Tirane?

Well, inside the city it's the center, the lake, the Dajti mountain, some museums, a lot of great places to chill and spend the night. While around the city there are some castles, you can go hiking, and pretty near is the city of Kruja one of the oldest and also Durres neaar the seaside and with a cute view.

Is it good to eat out in Tirane? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yeah it is really good, and cheap.
My favorite sports? Well, tennis, dancing, football, horse riding

Is the nightlife good in Tirane? Where is good to go?

The best! Hmh there are so many places it depends on what everyone prefers.

What advice would you give future students heading to Tirane?

Have fun and take care! It can really look like jungle sometimes! :P
