On my way back to Prague from Dresden (beautiful city, filled with stories from history, it's a must go!) I stoped in a small town near the border Germany/Czech Republic : Teplice. You can keep your luggage at the train station and visit the city without everything in your back.
From the train station I first walked around the small village, it has some nice buildings and a common czech square.
In the center you can also find a huge park, with a lake in the middle and lots of gigantic trees.
While you walk arounf be careful with some friends you my find walking around there as it was their personal property. They look a lot scarier in reality!
If you are planning to travel around some german cities in the border while you stay in Prague, this is certainly one city where you can pass by and spend some hours visiting.
