Why did you choose to go to Tel Aviv, Israel?

I went there on my Erasmus exchange, to study terrorism and security

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I only received money for ny flight ticket and 100 euros per month, since it was not in Europe and Erasmus program wouldn't give me money for that

What is the student lifestyle like in Tel Aviv?

Amazing! So many things to do and discover, parties all the time and amazing beached, young people everywhere

Would you recommend the city and the University of Tel Aviv to other students?

I would recommend the city only if you have money, it is extremely expensive to live there. I was at IDC so I dont know about TLV university.

What is the food like?

Great food, but more expensive than in Europe

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Tel Aviv?

Yes, really hard when you ahve a limited budget, count at least 600 euros for a small room with roomates at some place far from the city center

How much does it cost to live in Tel Aviv?

A lot! Accommodation is very expensive, and food is a bit more expensive than in Europe.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

People mostly speak English, so it's fine.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Tel Aviv from your city?

Ryanair

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Tel Aviv?

Anywhere around Dizzengof

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

In tel Aviv itself there's no much cultural places, but traveling around is easy

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Tel Aviv in the future?

Money is really the big problem. If you truly want to enjoy your exchange, make sure to get a scholarship and your parents helping you before going there. You can try finding a job there as I did, babysitting or dog walking
