Experience in Tel Aviv University, Israel by Murcia
What is it like to live in Tel Aviv University, Israel? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
The university is fantastic, it's very international. We have professors from Madrid, Harvard, Cambridge, practically from the best universities in the world. For me, Jews are like Spaniards, very friendly. Actually in Murcia the Jewish community is very small. Maybe 500, but many Jews from all over the world study practically in Israel. It is curious, many Jews come from America, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Holland and Germany. They have the best Tek language school in the world. Many companies from Murcia go there to learn. I had an excellent year of study at that university, one of my best experiences!
I made some very good friends! Now in Murcia, my Israeli friends are here at the Medical University of Murcia as teachers.
What is the student lifestyle like in Tel Aviv University, Israel?
It's really great. A laptop for each student, free Wi-Fi, online library and free printing.
In Israel education is like lemons in Murcia, we export fruit and in Israel, they export brains. Better than UCAM or UMU. More money per student than London or Berkeley.
The teachers are always willing to help, spending time if necessary with each student. They sometimes invite you to their house for lunch, even on vacation. Hannukah Rosh Ha Shona (head of the year) everything.
Would you recommend the city and the university of Tel Aviv University, Israel to other students?
Of course I do!
The teachers are really good, in Israel study is a priority before the holidays.
What places would you recommend visiting in Tel Aviv University, Israel?
Well there is a great option, the university organizes tours and group meals, we had 6 helicopter trips around massad tel aviv and belen. The educational activities included many workshops and free internal trips.
What advice would you give future students heading to Tel Aviv University, Israel?
Israel tries to match every Erasmus student who arrives with a classmate from there, my classmate was a 25 year old girl with a master's degree in my subject. We're both single, so we had a great time. It is rare to go out with a girl who has been in the army in a tank, also the dormitories are mixed, so the girls live next door and share the bathrooms.
