I chose Russia as you can easily study medicine there. Tambov in particular is a small city, it's friendly, peacful, and far from the capital city; you are simply there to study.

How long is your stay? How much financial aid are you receiving?

Studying medicine normally lasts 6 years.

I receive 300 US dollars per month and that covers mostly everything for me with regards to transportation, food, and some entertainment.

In general you have to cultivate your own world

Once you start making friends you start to feel better.

Would you recommend the city and university of Tambov to other students?

More or less. There are better places, for example, Astrakhan.

What is the country's food like?

There is everything. There are supermarkets there where you can find everything, but their dishes are terrible.

Did you have any difficulty finding accommodation in Tambov?

No, it was easy to find.

There are university halls of residence that are more or less nice.

What is the cost of living in Tambov?

You can maybe live on an average of 250$ per month.

What is learning the language like? Did the university have language lessons organised for you?

There are lessons once a week at the university, but you can also take specific classes.

What is the most economical way to get to Tambov from your hometown?

By plane.

Where you recommend in Tambov for letting your hair down?

There are cafes, bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

I have seen everything, as it is so small you should see it all.
