It is exciting to live in Tamale, the people of Tamale are hospitable and sociable.
I will recommend Tamale for Erasmus students. The city is one of the biggest city in Ghana beside Accra and Kumasi, it is the city with affordable pricing in food commodities and free to move i.e. its not over crowded.
What is the student lifestyle like in Tamale?
Students lifestyle like is simple.
How much does it cost to live in Tamale?
It may cost a person to live in Tamale for a year if one can afford us$ 180 - us$ 240.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Tamale? Is there any advice you can give?
It wouldn't be difficult to find accommodation in Tamale if you stayed in the city for while. The only advice i can give is; for student who want to live in Tamale,should always make sure their place of sleep is as much close as possible to their institution of study.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
There various food on the market including foreign dishes,there are variety to choose from. My favourite dishe is beans stew and plain rice.
What places would you recommend visiting in Tamale?
The Centre for National Culture, The Chief Palace, Discovery Hotel, Giddipass and so on.
Is it good to eat out in Tamale? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, but not as you walking on the streets, unless otherwise the food is snack. my favourite spot in Tamale is Giddipass.
Is the nightlife good in Tamale? Where is good to go?
Yes , even though i don't often go out during night time.
What advice would you give future students heading to Tamale?
The advice i would like to give to any student who is heading towards Tamale is that; they should always remember to study hard beside the lots of exciting moments and fun they may in Tamale.
