Why did you choose to go to Swansea, United Kingdom?

Because it's a small place full of good opportunities for students, as well as enterntainment. But the most important point is that cheap prices made for students.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

10 months, around 150€ monthly.

What is the student lifestyle like in Swansea?

This city is made for students, parties, shops, even jobs... You can find all kind of things to do, sports, parties inside the university, activities... There is no time to be bored.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Swansea to other students?

Definitely! It's a city defined for the Student Life!

What is the food like?

You can find cheap food and everything in the supermarkets. Also there is take away food for all those who are inefficient in the kitchen!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Swansea?

No, the university provides you some web pages where you can find houses to rent or you can also apply for the accommodation at the university itself.

How much does it cost to live in Swansea?

Very cheap, there is no need to save a lot of money.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are some free English courses during the summer time and also some English free lessons during the year. It's very easy to get used to the language since most of the people are foreigners and local people know about the students, what makes it easy to understand them.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Swansea from your city?

Heathrow (London) has cheap flights from many cities in Spain. what is good with this airport of this airport is that there is a bus directly from there to Swansea, both ways.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Swansea?

Wind Street! It's full of pubs and clubs, where everybody goes out. No worries, there is the police around if something happens.

Pitchy Keens! A free buffet at the end of Wind Street and of course Dominos Pizza.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are few museums and little places to be discovered.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Swansea in the future?

Go and have fun, you will have so many adventures, make sure you see as much as possible, never stay at home, meet everyone, enjoy it to the fullest and then tell us how it went!
