If you travel in the north part of România, in the historical region of Bucovina, region Moldavia, you must visit Cetatea de Scaun a Sucevei, a medieval fortress located in the city of Suceava, Suceava County. It was built in the 14th century during Petru I Muşat's reign and expanded in the 15 th century during Stephen III's reign (also known as Stefan the Great, Romanian: Ştefan cel Mare). The citadel played a key role in Stephen III of Modavia's defence system, along with Neamt, Hotin, Soroca, Orhei, Tighina, Chilia and Cetatea Alba.
