interacting with people from different culture and race

There are sure, different behavior of people when it is their first time in theuniversity but I was the shy type. I'm a Nigerian and the first time i walked into Siam University I felt so insecure that i thought all eyes was on me but that has no reason to do with the qualoty of the school. Since I was the shy guy I had no friends that my daily routine was from home to classes and classes to my room. This went on for my first week until I was introduced to a student orgnization called ISMAP (International Student Mentor and Ambassadors Program), I was interested that i gave it  a trial which i never regreted.

 First  day in the student organization meeting I walked into a room of 10 different naionalities interacting with each other and I loved it. Then, I was asked to come and introduce myself right in front of everybody which I never did but I was happy to do it anyway.

 I can say that joining ISMAP was one of the best decision I made in my life because i attended different international education event like the International Association of Universities (IAU), Asia Conference Dialogue (ACD), Conference of Non Governmental  Organizations (CoNGO), One Young World, UN day of peace and many more. Not only that but  also my public and social speaking has improved. My studying at Siam University has been GREAT!
