MyCityHighlight is an interactive, authentic, up-to-date, all-in-one travel guide and (city)trip companion from Switzerland. MyCityHighlight offers Sightseeing “like a local” for unforgettable, and easy to do city trip experiences. A growing number of people use our products such as the city guide app and website, the corresponding printed guides as well as the app called MyCityHighlight audio guides before and during their city trips. Other products (e.g. booking platform) are to be introduced soon. My-CityHighlight has locals in each city- we call them City Managers - who vouch for the quality of the data and also give advice resp. are in contact with the users. This gives MyCityHighlight an unreached quality standard.
Therefore MyCityHighlight is further expanding across Europe and is looking for a Stockholm City Manager from May 2017 on.
Job description
As a MyCityHighlight City Manager you will be essentially responsible for the following tasks:
- Data management (entries, approvals and updates) of touristic highlights, but especially of “off the beaten track” hints and insider tips as well as events via the Content Management System (CMS).
- Advertise MyCityHighlight (e.g. with flyers) and editorial assistance in social media activities.
- Selling ads, banners and coupons.
- Monitor and actively participate in discussions on the MyCityHighlight Forum.
- Active participation at the City Manager conferences which are taking place twice a year in one of the MyCityHighlight cities; as well as active involvement in frequent group calls and in our Social Media Group.
- Support the continued development of MyCityHighlight (e. g. audio guided tours, printed guides, detective trails).
Compensation will be performance-related and around 160 SEK per hour.
Requirements
You should live in Stockholm and should be keen on always discovering something new in your city. We expect independent and entrepreneurial thinking and a high degree of commitment at all levels. Good English skills are a must, knowledge of German and/or French language is a plus. Sales experience is a plus, too. IT user skills and the possession of an own laptop are required for the job.
The job as a city manager is particularly suitable for students, persons who are already active in tourism (e.g. as tourist guides) or for those who want to build up a new own enterprise in tourism field.
