26 year old Dutch guy, searching an accomodation in Stockholm to do exchange program at KTH

HI!

To briefly introduce myself, my name is Coen Wittebrood. I am a 26 year old student Management of Technology, with a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. I want to see technical challenges in a broader context then just engineering and the world of business and management strongly attracts me. I need a varied environment and I can only obtain this in a position in which a lot is discussed with people and thus management. By this I mean that as a leader of a team I can launch innovative projects that clearly show my characteristic features. By reflecting on my personality, I find myself a rational person. I am not led by emotions, but by facts. As a result, I am also reasonably stress-resistant. Thereby I am disciplined. I can really sit down for my study and work on an assignment for hours. I am a reliable, honest and stable person. I am always a good employee or student, I go for my work and I enjoy it. Especially if it succeeds well and it is appreciated by others it lifts my spirit. I like guiding and instructing people. I am good at learning something to people. I like challenges in general, and my character is adventurous. Some years ago I moved to Boston (US) for 5 months to gain some experience with living in the US and improve my English speaking. During summer I usually go on a trip to go backpacking around several countries. Last summer I went to Central America to visit Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Guatemala.
As written before I enjoy a varied environment, and this is then the main reason why I would like to go abroad. I anticipate both personally and professionally from an international experience. I think an exchange program will lead to awareness and adoption of different and multi-faceted approaches in the learning process. International learning and gaining knowledge will help acceptance and understanding of different perspectives. Personally, another reason is creating self-confidence and self-esteem. As I live in Amsterdam now for six years it is time for some change, because I feel the necessity to confront challenges outside my familiar network. Besides that, Delft University does not offer the specific specialization courses that I intend to do.
I will enter KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, mainly because I like to live in a Western-European city that is somewhat comparable to Amsterdam and because of the fact that KTH is well recognized as Sweden’s most prestigious technical university and has a reputation for excellence. I would like to discover the Scandinavian way of living and culture. I think I will have plenty of opportunities to this in Stockholm because I love the convenience of the city life as well as the outdoors. Stockholm is surrounded by islands, woodlands, lakes, towns and offers opportunities for outside adventures and day trips beside studying.
