Sigtuna, the Viking town

If you want to enjoy a trip to a small Viking town, this is your place. Sigtuna is located only one hour from Stokholm and it is one of the oldest Viking places in all Sweden. In order to get there, you must take the Pendeltag, that is, the commuter train to the station of Märsta, which is the end of the line.

Once you get off, you will find there a series of canopies where you can take buses, and quite easily you can find the one that will bring you to Situgna, since it is well explained. It will take around 20 minutes to Situgna centre, where you can find very near the tourist centre to learn more about the town.

The centre of the town is always full of tourists, but this doesn´t take the charm away of the village. Sigtuna is not very big, and it has many places to visit all around. It was founded by the Vikings around the 980, in the 10th century.
