Generally, what is Stenden University of Applied Sciences Campus of Leeuwarden like?

The campus is very pretty with a nice green area in front of the university, a big bike shed and a canal right next to it with many boats passing by in summer. It is located very well, pretty much in the center of the city.

What are the facilities like?

The facilities are very modern and technologically on a high standart, with a big studylandscape with many many tables and computers to work individually or in groups.

What are the tutors like?

The tutors are in general very nice, relatively young and try to help you in case you have a problem. It is mostly a very relaxed atmosphere in classes and one can always approach the tutors with questions.

Are the lessons easy in Stenden University of Applied Sciences Campus of Leeuwarden?

Some lessons are easy, some are hard, that is hard to generalise. You do have to do something for your grades and they especially have a quite individual way of assessing the students, so you have to come to class and show interest and effort.

Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?

Yes, Stenden has some activities, respectively there are many student organisations which organise great activities, such as BBQs in summer, a fancy Winterball where everybody dresses up at Christmas, or an International Day where students can show the specialties about their very own country (food, games, quizes, costumes, traditions,...)

Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?

This is also hard to generalise. With many teachers I was very pleased and they are good tutors, whereas there are always some teachers who are not so good or don't put too much effort into teaching. Most of them are quite enthusiastic about their fields though.

Are there any stories you can share?

Well, I enjoyed my time in Leeuwarden very much. Stenden is a nice university to study and Leeuwarden is a nice & friendly city. I liked the atmosphere and would definitely recommend to study there.
