Why did you choose to go to St. Pölten, Austria?

No other choices, but in the end it was the best experience.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

One semester, five months. Usually, for every student it was a maximum of 500 eur, it depends on every university.

What is the student lifestyle like in St. Pölten?

It's not as much things to do, StP is small. It will be exactly how you will do it and how you will fun for you. But don't worry, Austrians are really arms-opened for every bad idea and sweet and nice and helpful.

Would you recommend the city and the University of St. Pölten to other students?

I would, I recommend! It was a really great time, even three months from five we were stuck in lockdown.

What is the food like?

We usually cook for ourselves. At UAS (FH) is menza, but one meal is around 5 and 7 eur.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in St. Pölten?

Wihast and Domus.
Wihast is calmer, flats are smaller for 2 people.
Domus is bigger, flats for three people, and it's much more easy to meet there somebody. Go for domus.

How much does it cost to live in St. Pölten?

Around 500 eur per month. It depends on your travel/food habits.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

They are. 4-hours course every week. Ms. Helma is the best.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to St. Pölten from your city?

One way train ticket from Vienna for 5,9 EUR.
Buy Vorteilscard, it's really useful. For 20 EUR, but then you have 50 % off for every purchase.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in St. Pölten?

Hana's. Close to Domus and Wihast.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to St. Pölten in the future?

Just go there. The international office is always ready to help you.
