Well if you are planning to travel to Nicaragua. I would definitely recommend you to go to Somoto canyon which is a really beautiful place

Well first if you are landing in Managua international airport (only airport in Nicaragua) first you have to take a cab from the airport to Mayoreo bus station in that place you have to look for the bus going to Madriz after you having found the right bus you should look for a ticket which is around 160 cordobas per person (5 dollars) 

Well once you are in the bus the travel will take like 5 hours so be patiant you will get your destination 

If for any reason you could not find the bus going to Madriz or this is not available. I would recommend to take the bus going to Esteli around 90 cordobas (3 dollars per person) and then this bus will take you to Esteli 3.20 hours away from the capital city and this will arrived to Cotran sur which is a Southern bus station (There are two cotrans in Esteli) from that place you have two options to walk to the next cotran (bus station) 1 kilometer away or to take a cab which is 20 cordobas (around 80 cents)

Once you have arrived to the cotran norte you have to look for the bus going to Madriz then in this place is not neccesary to buy a ticket the the bus assistant will charge you in your seat (basically you just have to look for your seat and wait for the bus assistant to charge you) he will charge you 70 cordobas per person (around 2.40 dollars)

Once you are on your way to Madriz the trip takes around two hours so be patiant 

Once you have arrived in Madriz I would recommend you to take a cab to El canon de Somoto entrance. This trip will take around 25 minutes so be patiant (It is worthy) the taxy driver will charge you 120 cordobas (4 dollars) if you are traveling alone and 170 cordobas (5.70 dollars) for 4 people so i would recommend to go with your family or your friends

Once you have arrived to Somoto canyon you have to pay an admission fee of 20 dollars per person (half trip) or 40 dollars per person (full tour) (The investment is worthy) so in this case i would recommend to take the full trip which is basically 6 hours tour 

(*Note in this tour the lunch is included so you do not have to worry about your food after the tour because is included)

In this tour you will go through one of the best natural wonders of Nicaragua

and you will have the opportunity to jump from 4 meters high landscape

(*advises take with you light clothes and clothes that you consider that you can wet because you will finish really wet even your shoes) you have to cross rivers on foot so your shoes will finish really wet (you have the opportunity to rent a horse for around 4 dollars but if better to walk)

so do not think about it just come to Nicaragua and enjoy the wonders that this beautiful land has to offer you
