It's nice, average size city. Average by my standard which means around 60 000 people, not to big and not too small. There is almost no need for cars as you can get anywhere you want by walking for about 20 - 30 minutes.

What is the student lifestyle like in Slavonski Brod?

Oh, you got everything you need. Dormitory is very nice, people are friendly. It's easy to be a student in Brod.

How much does it cost to live in Slavonski Brod?

Huh, I would say it's similar as in similar country's. That mean if you can afford student life in Germany or some other stronger country you won't have any problem to afford it here. Perhaps if you are from country with lower incomes you could have some issue but if you are regular student with X-card and place in dormitory then you are safe.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Slavonski Brod? Is there any advice you can give?

No, people actually run away from this city and from this part of Croatia as it is hard to find job. Just don't look for accommodation in the center as you don't need that. City is small so you don't need that and there is huge difference in costs. Also be ready to share, it can get you real cut in price.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Oh, food is amazing. Barbecues and some traditional meals are great if you are meat lover.

What places would you recommend visiting in Slavonski Brod?

Fortress, couple of museums, Poloj.

Yes it is, I won't advertise anyone, but you can't miss whatever place you choose. Just ask someone neutral to tell you what's best at what place.

Is the nightlife good in Slavonski Brod? Where is good to go?

Ohh.. Nightlife is story for itself. There is basically something for every taste, you got so many nightclubs and so many bars that it's harder to miss them than to find them.

What advice would you give future students heading to Slavonski Brod?
