Generally, what is Shanghai University like?
It is a top university, ranks around 12 to 17 according to QS rankings. This school has a excellent education especially in Telecommunication engineering, Sociology.
What are the facilities like?
Shanghai University has more than four campus in Shanghai, I studied in Baoshan district, facilities there are almost the best in China. Big library, new buildings, large lakes etc.
What are the tutors like?
Nice to students, provide students very good service compared with others schools in China. But a common shortage for Chinese universities, tutors are not professional enough.
Are the lessons easy in Shanghai University?
it depends, in Telecommunication engineering school, the courses are pretty difficult, and students have a lot of projects to do. But for management school, students have more free time. generally, I suppose the core courses are difficult, selective courses are pretty easy.
Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?
Students associations organize a large amount of activities. School also provide students with some high quality lectures. But school does not offer students enough guidance in job hanting.
Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?
Yes, that is why it can ranks top in China
Are there any stories you can share?
We have three semesters each year, so we have three final exam one year, studying pace is fast.
