this is a fun city! There's a lot to do, to know, to taste!!

the public transportation is the best way to commute but it's not so good.

monserrate's observation place and church is a beautiful place over the city with a great view!

near bogotá there are several places to do extremes sports like rafting, canopy, paintball, rock climbing, mounting bike.

The salt cathedral, the quality craftsmanship in jewellery, furniture, clothes, etc. makes of this city and its metropolitan region a must know in the life of an erasmus

What is the student lifestyle like in Santafé de Bogotá?

there are several universities (public or private) of which the national university (public) is the biggest and probably the best

How much does it cost to live in Santafé de Bogotá?

you can live comfortably with 500 USD per month. If you want to include entertainment that will be from 50 to 200 extras per month, depending on what you like to do

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Santafé de Bogotá? Is there any advice you can give?

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

the food is fantastic! the local recommendation is the ajiaco! it's delicious! Or the tamales with hot chocolate from the city's downtown, those are great!

What places would you recommend visiting in Santafé de Bogotá?

the neighbourhood of candelaria, or the usaquen park, if you look for the colonial look.

The virrey park, National park or Simon Bolivar park to be in touch with the nature.

if you want to shop you would find several malls like Gran estacion, santafé, andino, unicentro. Or you could also find hand-craftsmanship in little markets all over the city.

Is it good to eat out in Santafé de Bogotá? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

yes! absolutely! and is not that expensive. You could find typical food, or more contemporaneous and modern food, even international food.

In the 83th street there is a corner called "zona T" with great restaurants and in the 60th street a neighbourhood called "zona G" with the most sophisticated food.

If you want to eat something more traditional, go to the downtown

Is the nightlife good in Santafé de Bogotá? Where is good to go?

yes you could go to the 85th street or to the 93 street, those are focal places pf the city

What advice would you give future students heading to Santafé de Bogotá?

eat near the university that's much more cheap. live not so close to the university, if you can walk, you will lost a lot of time in commuting otherwise
