What is it like to live in Santafé de Bogotá? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It's really nice, the weather is chilly but you get used to ir. I would highly recomend it because people that live in Bogota habe a really good quiality of life.
The city is big and there are many things you can do like visit museums, go out for lunch, do some exercise and get to know this place
What is the student lifestyle like in Santafé de Bogotá?
It's really good because the universities are close to eachother. The transportation is easy and cheap you learn to find your way in the city and to share with other students
How much does it cost to live in Santafé de Bogotá?
It's not as cheap but since the currency is in colombian pesos it might be cheaper that many other cities, off course it depends whicj sector you want to live and how much are you willing to spend.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Santafé de Bogotá? Is there any advice you can give?
It's not easy but if you look good in newspapers or if you really investigate you can find good accomodation in many sectors of the city. It depends what you are going to do but I recommend finding a place near to the center
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
So good. Colombia has great dishes. My favourite dish is called "ajiaco" that is a typical food from Bogota, it's a potato soup and you est it with rice, avocado, plantane, milk cream, corn, chiken and whatever you want to add basically
What places would you recommend visiting in Santafé de Bogotá?
The gols museum, artbo that is an exposition every year of contemporary art, Monserrate, the center of the city (La candelaria, El chorro de quevedo) The national park, Chia, The national museum, la Zona G, la Zona T, el parque de la 93
Is it good to eat out in Santafé de Bogotá? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
It is really good. There are mant restaurants you can choose from. Personally I would recomment the Zona G (which stands for gourmet zone) where you can find lots of restaurants from cheap to expensive but always the best quality. Also the 93 park and the zona T where there are more restaurants. And personally as my favourite restaurant, I recommend PRIMI which is a block from the Zona T (street 85)
Is the nightlife good in Santafé de Bogotá? Where is good to go?
It is awsome. If you like colombian and latin places you can go to Andres Chia, Andres DC, Kinky, Black Sheep, Buho, El Techo, Mussa.
If you like more electronic music you can go to Baum, Billares Londres, Theatron, Octava, Armando Records, Le coq, Radio Berlin, Cine Tonala
What advice would you give future students heading to Santafé de Bogotá?
To enjoy everything, to don't spend money in things they don't need and to learn lots about the colombian culture that is great
