A crowded coastal city, a very very average one.

What is the student lifestyle like in Samsun?

Nothing really different compared to what other students do in other nations. The location of Faculty of Communication sucks tho - 80km to the main campus.

How much does it cost to live in Samsun?

Too much for locals, reasonable for outlanders, I guess.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Samsun? Is there any advice you can give?

The city is rapidly growing with many residents so I think it's not. Finding a reasonable flat kinda depends on luck.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Very appetizing. If the taste meets your expectations, you'll be happy with it.

What places would you recommend visiting in Samsun?

Museums and everything related to what Ataturk did here. Amazonians were here too.

Is it good to eat out in Samsun? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Doesn't really matter but Durums at Calikusu are tasty and appetizing, try pide too.

Is the nightlife good in Samsun? Where is good to go?

Walking on the coast of Atakum. Nothing else is satisfactory.

What advice would you give future students heading to Samsun?

Don't get ripped off by taxi drivers like anywhere else. English is below average here, like 1 out of 50 locals can speak it. Because people are shy or inadequate.
