Riga-Maryam Naderi(master student of LSCM)

Of course, I was a freelance student and paid a high tuition fee to the University of Barcelona, but I know that everything was affordable for the students of ٍErasmusu.

My experience:

My trip to Latvia and Riga, which I did not know much about before choosing a course at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona of Barcelona, began on one of the coldest days of February, winter 2018. I do not know why, like all trips, I was not too much in my fears, and from that time on arriving with a kindly encounter the airport staff and the help of one of the citizens who traveled to the bus to get to my university dormitory, I found a good feeling to the city of Riga, and the cold of that day turned me into a warm and relaxing.

In the following days and during the months of schooling at the university, we had little time to rest There were many projects and courses, but I was able to successfully complete that term with the help of our dear professors. Of course, I appreciate all this tranquility and a dynamic atmosphere without stress for the beautiful days and honesty of the lovely nature of Riga, especially the Daugava River.

It is interesting to know that our hostel was located in one of the best areas of the city, along the river and the old town of Riga.

It reminded me of my childhood and animation of Pinocchio, and revived my childlike and happy feeling in a way that I went to the classroom more enthusiastically and went out of the class with eagerness to see the river again.

University libraries are also located along the river with beautiful views that makes it a pleasure to study in the library.

The tiredness of learning was going through our lessons during the holidays by visiting the zoo and parks, gardens, as well as towns such as Ogre, Sigulda, Jurmala and seeing the beaches and wooden houses and very beautiful fatigue.

I learned from Riga, calm and strong and able and I will always preserve it, and I will never forget this beautiful and lovely city.
