Livin' la vida Erasmus!

Hello,

I am moving to Rotterdam in August and was wondering if anyone knows if it is typical to pay a huge mediation fee to estate agents? I've been looking at private accommodation online, as I am a postgraduate student and need to be near Erasmus MC.

You are asked  one month rent +21% vat to the estate agent as well as the deposit and the first months rent all in one! that just seems ridiculously high? But if this is the norm then fair enough.

is anyone else moving for the 2014/15 year? I will be there for 4 years doing a PhD in clinical genetics.

Hello! I am Thetis from Greece.I am really Interested in a room close to RSM! I am going to study in the Erasmus University of Rotterdam from September as a Master's degree student. I am an easy going person with a wide international background. I was living in Belgium for one year as an Erasmus student and I can totally understand how living with others works. Then I came back to Athens and I have been sharing my flat with people from all over the world. I am quite tidy and respect people's privacy. I love to make new friends and share new ideas and experiences with them and that's why I joined the Erasmus Student Network in Athens. I have been a member the past 2 years in this network and I have been helping many students living in Greece for their exchange.I think Rotterdam was a great choice because I already have many friends there and because I think the Dutch air really suits me. From this experience I would like to achieve my goals as far as my studies are concerned and I would like to live with lively people in a pleasant atmosphere. Please do not hesitate to ask me more things about me. In addition, I can come to view the house

Hello !!!

i'm Helena,24 years old, i'm from Tarragona, Spain and i'm looking a room in rotterdam only for a month! 27/2-27/3. I studied turism and now i'm travelling for europe to change my live, meet people and improve my languages. I look an individual room but i wold like erasmus students in the house.
