What is it like to live in Rosario? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city itself is rich with a lot of proposals, whether you want a cultural experience or if you want to enjoy the night life.
There are a lot of parks in the city for those who wish to have some fresh air and there is a new addition of beer breweries and bars to the city that makes it more alive at night.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rosario?

The life in the city is fast paced, but there are places a little away from its center in which the lifestyle is calmer.

How much does it cost to live in Rosario?

Depends on a lot of factors, but to live in Rosario specialy close to the center of the city is expensive but not impossible, there are places for students that are cheaper. In my opinion with 20000 pesos argentinos, the foreing student can live without problem.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Rosario? Is there any advice you can give?

My advice is get a roommate, or go to the student residencies, those are your cheaper options. But there are apartments for rent that are cheap. My personal opinion is to search thoroughly, you always find better options.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The city has a lot of options, from italian dishes to Japanese and Chinese food, we eat a lot of meat, and just recently the city got a new addition to the vegan cuisine.
My favourite is the asado (typical barbecue but better).

What places would you recommend visiting in Rosario?

For those who like the nightlife the bar "Baskiat" is quite famous" also the bar "Capitan" is great for those who want something different.
And for those who are more into cultural options the theaters in the city, such as "El Circulo", got new plays every month. There are on line pages that gives you a lot of information about historical tours you can take or differents shows depending on your needs.

Is it good to eat out in Rosario? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

My favourite spot is "La Gintoneria" is a bar sorely dedicated on making drinks with gin tonic, the place is great and the people are friendly. The atmosphere the place gives you it's great.
On Pellegrini street you find the majority of bars and restaurants.

Is the nightlife good in Rosario? Where is good to go?

The nightlife changes during the seasons. In Summer along the coast you can find clubs such as "Mr. MING" and "La Pulperia" those 2 are the bests.
In Winter in Wheelwright street you have "Bound" and in Oroño street "Baskiat" bar turns into a small club later in the night.
Ask the people in the centro de estudiantes of the university and they can give you other options too.

What advice would you give future students heading to Rosario?

Get a place close to your university, get a student discount card for buses, etc.
Get an universal adapter for your cellphone and don't be afraid of asking twice.
