Where to stay in Rome - Hotel Cecile
Location of the Hotel
Finding a hotel in Rome can always be quite challenging, especially considering that Rome can be slightly pricy when it comes to high quality hotels close to the centre. What ever you do I can only advise to stay away from the area of Termini, as it is close to the train station and is not completely safe at night. This is why I love Hotel Cecile, it is located in the heart and soul of Rome, a short distance from the Spanish steps and Via del Corso.
Hotel Cecile is located in a sixteenth century townhouse, which compliments the interior décor that revolves around the history and tradition of the magical capital city. As soon as you enter the hall way you have the reception on your left, the restaurant in front of you and the bar on the left hand side. Scattered around are archaeological treasures, vintage furniture and antique paintings which all represent Italian heritage.
Design and Decoration
This three star hotel has uniquely designed and decorated rooms, offering a different experience to frequent customers. There are 41 rooms in total all including complimentary Wi-Fi and HD Television. As previously mentioned, each room is individually decorated to fit a purpose, for example the Double Superior Room has a more elegant décor for a relaxing and luxurious experience whilst the Triple and the Luxe Room have a more vintage feel to it to help you dive into the full Roman Historic experience. Every single room is made sure to offer the client every necessary amenity such as a refrigerator, a safety locker, hair driers and air conditioning.
In the summer you can make the most out of the private terrace situated on the Hotel rooftop. Restricted to clients, you can sit down and sip on an Aperol Spritz or a refreshing beer whilst enjoying the view over Rome. This area is certainly a perfect spot for a romantic glass of wine with your other half.
Food
The Breakfast is a buffet and contains a wide range of food such as croissants, English breakfasts, freshly baked breads and jams etc.
Next to the bar is a tranquil little reading room, beautifully decorated to give you the relaxing experience you need to escape the city life.
Located: Via Francesco Crispi, 55
