22 year old Dutch guy, looking for student accommodation in Rio de Janeiro

I'm Mahdy Youssef from Amsterdam, Holland. I'm a sportive type that also likes a good party so every now and then! I can't wait to go to Rio de Janeiro to have the time of my life. Just need to find an accomodation now:)

My current city is Groningen in the north of Holland, it's a really cool student city and a lot of people from Amsterdam go to that place to study. I'm a huge Ajax (Amsterdam football club) supporter and I would love to visit some sport events in Rio de Janeiro as well. 

The reason for me to go to Rio de Janeiro is to learn a lot about the Brazilian culture and language. I already have some basic Spanish knowledge, that makes it a little bit easier to learn Portuguese, still it’s different! Personally I prefer the Portuguese language, especially the one from Brazil.

Furthermore I really liked the subjects the university PUC had to offer. First of all, I have to take a Portuguese language course and I have to fill my semester up with other subjects. I was thinking about the Brazilian history, psychology, sociology and international negotiation. I’ve heard good stories of people who already went to PUC in Rio de Janeiro and I’m excited to start.

I’m not going to lie; the beaches and parties also played a big role in my decision to see Rio de Janeiro! I love the spirit of the people from there with whole my heart and people have been telling me a lot that the mentality of the people there would suit me. 

I would like to join the university soccer team as well, it’s one of the things that I like the most about Brasil.

I hope to see you in Rio de Janeiro from the beginning of August till the end of December!
