Summer stay in Reykjavik

I am a quiet introvert from the United States looking to stay in Reykjavik next year for three months (May - July). I am looking for something that is easily reachable by foot or bus to downtown Reykjavik. High speed Internet is necessary, as I will be working while in country. I am very quiet and speak a little bit of Icelandic which I will be working on improving while I am there.
