Why did you choose to go to Reutlingen, Germany?

I chose Reutlingen because of its renowned university, and because the courses on offer were related to my studies.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

One semester and I get the Erasmus grant.

What is the student atmosphere like in Reutlingen?

The atmposphere is good, there are lots of nights out organised by the different Schools, but also by international students.

Would you recommend the city and the university of Reutlingen to other students?

What is the food like?

The food is nice, varied and not expensive!

Did you have any problems finding accommodation in Reutlingen?

No because I found it in advance and my university helped me.

What is the cost of living in Reutlingen?

It is a lot less expensive than in France, especially for food and drinks.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Did you attend language courses at the university?

All of my courses were in English, but there's a programme you can take part in called "tandem" to speak German and there are also German classes for different levels you can take at the University.

What is the most economical way to travel to Reutlingen from your city?

The most economical way is definitely the bus but that takes a very long time. You can get some decent train tickets if you get them in advance!

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Reutlingen?

There are lots of bars in the town centre.

Is it good to eat out in Reutlingen? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

"Déjà vu" and the Italian restaurant in town called "Da Alfredo".

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The town centre and all of the towns near Reutlingen.

What advice would you give future students heading to Reutlingen?

Have a blast!
