On your way to Quebec
I really recommend any of you that is planning to go for the weekend to Quebec city or even for one day to visit Montmorency Falls. They are amazing!
Some people say they are prettier than Niagara Falls (which I don't find it's true, personally), but hey! It's worth the trip. It took about an hour to explore the place, that's why I found it's an activity that you must do in Quebec, but don't plan your day only on visiting the falls.
In my personal opinion, it would have been nice to stay longer. As we took the funicular to go up it took us nothing to see everything. Although, you would love to take the stairs. If you want to save a bit of time it's totally fine, but you won't miss anything if you take the stairs! In fact, the journey is the destination.
It is a great spot to take some nice pictures and make some exercise. Check out the weather, if you go in summer make sure you go fresh, if not be prepared for a bit of a breeze from the own falls.
Last advice, explore every spot! From the top to the whole area down the falls.
