Italian student at FAUP looking for a room close to the city center

hi!
I'm an italian student who's coming to Porto to study Architecture at Faup for two semesters. I'll be staying from the 1st of September 2015 to the 30th of July 2016 even though i will actually arrive on the 31st of august.
I would like to rent a room close to the city center but also linked to my soon to be university.
I think i would like to stay in an apartment in Santo ildefonso, Bolhao, Bomfim, Cedofeita or so. Closeness to the metro would be apreciated as well.
I'm looking for a single room hopefully with a double bed.
I'm a nice and polite guy which would like to enjoy a nice year staying in porto.
I would like to stay in a flat with people from different countries so that i can learn languages and enjoy a multicultural place.
