Awarded the Best Boutique Hotel in Portugual at The World Travel Awards, nominated the best accommodation in 2015, the Yeatman is a spectacular five star hotel located in the southern part of Oporto.

The Yeatman has a wide range of different rooms and suites, starting from the Superior room that is decorated in an elegant, classic style with beautifully embellished furniture and a king-size bed. Each room is individually decorated adding a special, unique touch to each accommodation. The Superior room also has a large window with a private terrace on the outside where you can sit and enjoy the spectacular view over Oporto. The bathroom is very bright and spacious including all Caudalie amenities. Each room contains a desk, a private bar, a safe and complimentary Internet access.

The suites are more than amazing. They are so perfectly decorated with beautiful coloured walls matching the furniture creating a comfortable and homily atmosphere, that you will never want to leave. Again, each suite has it’s own particularity, whether it is the colours, the bed or the furniture; but they all are traditional and classical giving a sense of elegance and luxury.

Saving the best until last, if you really are looking for a luxury get-away or a top romantic spot then the Bacchus Suite is exactly what you’re looking for. This is the most luxurious and exclusive room of the Yeatman. It includes a copper Jacuzzi in the bedroom with a large rotating bed. The room is 150m2 large with deep red, black and chestnut colours providing an intimate and romantic feel. This room provides a fireplace, complimentary minibar, complimentary coffee & Tea facilities, Bose Dock station, double walk-in showers and a plasma television; this room really is the top of the top.

The Spa is another facility the Yeatman offers and really outdoes itself. In 2013 it won ‘Best Hotel Spa – Europe 2013’, and I can really understand why. The Yeatman spa is a heaven of tranquillity and serenity. A varied selection of treatments is provided including barrel bath immersions, massages and signature body and facial treatments using natural products. You also have a choice of a Turkish bath, a roman bath, sauna and the infinity pool. This hotel also offers private and group activities such as Pilates, Body & Mind and individual personal trainer classes which is a perfect way to keep in shape whilst making the most out of this hotel. For more information on the Spa and the treatments check out The Yeatman’s website here: Yeatman Hotel

Carrying two Michelin stars, the Yeatman gastronomic restaurant provides exquisite blends of taste and presentation created by their head chef, Ricardo Costa. Costa infuses all the traditional Portuguese flavours with a contemporary twist on minimal presentation creating beautiful and delicious dishes. The restaurant opens from 7. 30 PM till 10. 30 PM. You can sit outside and enjoy the panoramic view over the city, whilst tasting the best food you will find in Oporto.

Furthermore the terrace holds the most spectacular view over the city, which you can enjoy whilst drinking some tea or an aperitif. It is a prime location for watching the sunset over the Arrábida Bridge.

The Yeatman is considered to be one of the best places you can go wine tasting, due to the fact that it holds wine cellars containing an extensive collection of Portuguese wines, including the famous Port. Dedicating such importance to wine, they try to include the history and the culture of it through their artwork placed in the lobby walls and in the rooms and suites. Furthermore, this hotel organises visits to the vineyards and estates in the Douro Valley, Minho, Dao and Bairrada; this could be a fun activity to do when visiting Porto.
