What is it like to live in Parnu? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Parnu is a small, quiet town with a population of only 40 thousand, quite cold in winter ... My advice would be to come here in the summer, because I heard that Parnu is one of the best beach resorts around the Baltic.
What is the student lifestyle like in Parnu?
I am as a graduated person already i have not any attachment with university, I am making my internship with commercial organization, but i have been in local university library and it is quiet good.
How much does it cost to live in Parnu?
Well, as I mentioned in summer Parnu is really full and correspondingly living cost is quiet high. One problem is that in summer price for accommodation is twice higher than in winter.In winter you can rent a room in hostel for 150 euro and all communal expenses are included. Food really cheap, transport expenses is about 15 euro per month.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Parnu? Is there any advice you can give?
As i mentioned it is really common to rent a room in Hostel(150 euro per month), till the May, after may you have to check something new because they putting really high price on it. There is private flats about 200, 250 but in this case you have to pay communal taxes, it is common practice that in some cases you have to pay for brokers, i suggest that contact directly to the owners.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
There is several restaurant... You will enjoy them. Products is quiet cheap if you love cook.
What places would you recommend visiting in Parnu?
Old town is really beautiful and Parnu beach of course. That is all in this firs two week i did.
Is it good to eat out in Parnu? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Actually in Parnu there is quite good cafes and in the city center there is one good supermarket calls 'Delice" you can get there really tasty foods.
Is the nightlife good in Parnu? Where is good to go?
In winter it really not too active but you can find several good pubs.
What advice would you give future students heading to Parnu?
First of all have a look for flat and be ready for -25 in winter, it is nothing especially in Estonia :)
