Baby sitting/nannying/tutoring
- Job vacancy: Baby sitting/nannying/tutoring
- Number of vacancies: 1
Hi,
My name is Chloe, I am a British national with English as my mother tongue, I am also learning conversational French. This summer I am looking to work in Paris from August 3rd until Sept 10th. I have a lot of experience with child care, tutoring, and babysitting. I would love to teach English to children during the summer holidays in the daytime (morning-19:00h) Mon-Fri, I have my own apartment in Paris already.
I can care for them by entertaining them in the daytime too, my tutoring will double up as baby sitting. I am currently studying Medicine at King's College London, I am a very caring girl and will know immediately if your child needs medical assistance.
Please let me know if you are interesting in offering me even the smallest of jobs.
Thank you,
Chloe

I am a well rounded loving girl who has always enjoyed caring for others, especially children. I have had a lot of experience with children, my main involvement being when I was a youth worker last year. I mentored children and spend a lot of time tutoring them to increase their grades in school as well as their attitudes and behaviours. The children I mentored came from a deprived area and were sometimes difficult to handle but this challenge gave me more experience and confidence in dealing with children. Also, my nephew was born in November and I have been caring for him regularly whenever I see him, I believe myself to be a natural with babies and I have confidence in catering for their needs. I worked in a care home for a year with a combination of disabled/special needs adolescents and the elderly, this was very rewarding seeing them happy because sometimes if they couldn't speak or describe what they wanted you had to use your own initiative to see this, I find it to be a very valuable skill when dealing with children as well. I have always looked after cousins and babysat next door's child too, children and myself have a lot of fun together as I am good with games but can be firm when I need to as well. I am currently studying Medicine at King's College London, training to be a doctor has made me realise how much I love caring for others and helping them. Also, it builds my medical knowledge so I can pick up early signs of a child potentially being ill. Also, my mother and sister are nurses and I have learnt a lot of medical knowledge from them already. I am trained in first aid.
I enjoy charity work and participated in the Race for Life to help fuel cancer research, this took discipline and hard training. My hobbies include swimming, playing in a badminton team, I love sports and can really emphasise how physical fitness is important to children so I would be happy to run around and play with them. I have an enthusiasm and a commitment to reading and music and have achieved a grade 5 on the keyboard. I have excellent time management skills and endurance as I have already been working full time for 2 years before university, this has matured me a lot and not only allows me to easily look after myself but it also helps me to look after others. At university a lot of my friends call me mum because they always ring me if they are not sure what to do or how something works!
I travel to Paris around 6 times per year so I know the city well and how the transport systems operate, I also have a full UK license with an impeccable driving record for 4 years. I can speak conversational French but I have started to learn it intensely this year. I find myself gifted with teaching and would love to tutor children in English as it is my native language. I can incorporate this into everyday life with them it doesn't necessarily have to be a lesson; they may find this a lot more fun to do!
