I currently work as a Regulatory Specialist in Osinergmin, which is the national regulator of the energy and mining sectors in Peru. I have developed strong technical, interpersonal and management skills throughout my time at Osinergmin. Currently, I manage a team of 6 people tasked with analyzing the electricity and natural gas sectors. I am also in charge of another team responsible for conducting the Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) of regulatory proposals. For the last two years, I have been coordinating the implementation of the RIA in Osinergmin. The results have been the publications of RIA guidelines and a one-year pilot program. Having such a leadership position demanded significant multi-tasking and technical skills and a constant coordination with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Furthermore, my interest in public policy has been augmented through my participation in government organizations such as the Ministry of Economics and Finance and the Ministry of Industry. In the Ministry of Economics and Finance I led the team in charge of forecasting main economic variables in order to calculate the Republic's General Budget.  Furthermore, I prepared and revised documents relevant to the activities of the Minister of the Economy (ordinary sessions, interpellations, speeches, and presentations, among others). I also prepared economic reports at the request of the Congress (including analysis of draft laws and economic policy measures). My work in the Ministry of Industry consisted of ex ante analyses of public policies.
