Blog: City of Romance ~ Paris
Tags: flag-fr Erasmus blog Paris, Paris, France

It was 3:30 pm, me and my husband just got down at the airport; Paris-Charles de Gaulle-France. "It isn't so cold as how I thought it would be at Paris" saying so I have removed my jacket and followed the immigration line to get my Visa stamp.

" Yes, looks like we don't have to worry about climate shocks, brisk weather and bulky jackets...! thank god! " He walked moving out from the stamping area and we both started looking for the exit board.. We have booked a hotel at the CDG airport so we went around to enquire about it at the information center.

" Excuse me! sir, Can you please help us with this address? " my husband was curiously asking him to so he can go rest at the hotel after a tiresome 10 hours flight...

"Je ne paux pas vous aider, allez voir un taxi et il vous aidera! " was the reply from the man at the counter.. My husband looked at me and we both exchanged those looks and many things went around our minds on - why on earth did we not read the book called " learn french in 30 days" and on why we thought of ourself as brilliant one's who can interpret any language.

" Thanks Boss! " my husband so proudly as if he understood everything and moved towards the baord that said - shuttle to hotels. Luckily we had free service shuttle to hotels from airport and an Australian guy helped us in finding out the same with the bits and peices of french that he knows. We stepped out of the lift and "Oh my god it's so cold! Where did u put my jacket and please take out the umbrella " my hubby said after seeing the shocking weather outside. Within few seconds we came out of the shock and somehow we just loved the fresh air, gentle drizzle, beautiful scenic atmosphere and women who made me feel jealous in a minute by making my ' Levis jeans, Mango t-shirt and my branded shoes ' look so outdated..

Thanks to that Aussie guy we finally arrived at our hotel and Bangg! we jumped on the bed and shouted " Yupi! Finally we are here! We are in the city of love Paris!
