Why did you choose to go to Oviedo, Spain?

I wanted to explore more of Spain.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship lasts 4 months and I receive 400 euros a month.

Students are very relaxed, but, at the same time, hard-working if needed.

What is the food like?

Asturian food is very different from the rest of Spain. Much beans are used here.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Oviedo?

Yes.

How much does it cost to live in Oviedo?

The rent with all the bills is more or less around 150-250 euros.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Spanish language is easy to learn indeed. There are paid courses available.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Oviedo from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Oviedo?

There is one street where there are all the bars/pubs/clubs. Therefore, it's a handy street that provides you with the opportunity to easily go on a night out without having to move around the city.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Oviedo?

I have not found an exceptional one yet.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The whole city is full of cultural places, statues, etc. There is also one big statue (similar to statue in Rio de Janeiro) on top of the mountain.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Oviedo in the future?

Try to find accomodation before coming here, always buy food and everything you need before Sunday, because on Sunday all the shops are closed, and buy an umbrella, because the weather here changes a few times during the day.
