How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Its 22 months. I think you can spend a little money to live here in Oviedo, it's one of most cheap cities I have ever seen: because I roamed around Europe and I visited a lot of European cities, but still Oviedo one of the good cities you can live and have fun.

What is the student lifestyle like in Oviedo?

The student lifestyle in Oviedo is good: because you between you study and your social life easily. Campuses are close to the city center and the hyper markets, so you can study in the morning and shopping or walking or go out with your friends. The other merit here that you will find a lot of Erasmus friends from different countries, which makes the lifestyle for the student cool and sociable.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Oviedo to other students?

Yeah, of course, I would recommend the city and Oviedo University to other students: because the city is so clean, calm and organized. In additions the traffic is awesome.

What is the food like?

The food is versatile in fact. You can find any kind of you want, except some Arabian kinds of food for me, for instance. But of course this is uncommon.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Oviedo?

To my mind it’s the best city to find a cheap accommodation, whether it was a share flat or individual studio: because I have my friends in other countries usually tell my about the expensive accommodation. But I wouldn't recommend the university halls for the students for living: because it’s so expensive. This is the thing I didn't like here; they should provide the students with cheap accommodation relevant to their Campus.

How much does it cost to live in Oviedo?

In my point of view, you can spend roughly around 350 euros for everything including accommodation, bills, internet and your food and drink.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yeah it’s easy: because each letter you read, you pronounce and this makes it easy to learn, to my mind. In additions, there are language courses available, whether in "La Casa de las Lenguas" (the house of languages) or in EL-Fontan center to learn the foreign people. In the last one you learn free without money, also in the House of Languages there are discounts for the students; it can exempt you from paying money entirely.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Oviedo from your city?

Planes are the best way to travel to Spain, then you can travel by bus or train, for me I prefer to use Alsa bus: because there are good offers and good ways of amusement.

I usually roam around Oviedo, or go to some cafeterias or bar to enjoy drinking "Sidra” (spanish for cider) which is the most typical drink of Asturias.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Oviedo?

I recommend Restaurante Del Arco and Restaurante Fujiyama, one of them is high price and the other is low price, as you like.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Oviedo in the future?

I advise them just to take care about the weather: because it's a little bit chilly here in winter, but in fact there are a lot of things to do in Oviedo, so don’t hesitate to visit.
