Student from the Netherlands looking for a nice home in Oulu

I am Mathilda, I turned 23 at the beginning of this summer even though someone guessed I was 18 years old at festival a few days ago, and I am from Utrecht, the Netherlands. Just before the summer I almost finished my bachelor’s degree in Educuational Sciences; I failed two courses which I have to retake next year. Because of this a lot of spare time appeared in my normally colorful diary. This calls for a broadening of my horizon by developing myself and going on an adventure in another country! After a quick search, the University in Oulu appeared to be the place for me because of its educational focus on philosophy and anthropology. From September until December I will therefore be studying in Oulu. The only thing left is a nice and fun place to live for the next couple of months. 

I’ll tell you a bit more about myself. Over the past four years I have been living with roommates in Utrecht and I have learned a lot about living together with others. I consider myself to be a neat and tidy person, as long as the mess in my own bedroom isn’t taken into consideration in the scoring of the roommate-rules. In February I started being a fulltime vegetarian and I enjoy experimenting with cooking in this lifestyle more and more. I also am a fulltime chatterbox, but I have a bit more experience with that than the vegetarian thing. The thing I love to do the most while at home is chilling and relaxing with housemates, sharing happy moments with each other or asking important life-advice questions (as the monthly clothing-crisis) while sipping a glass of wine and watching a bad reality show. Furthermore, I enjoy shopping at vintage stores and making coffee as a spare-time barista, therefore it is my quest to find the utmost best coffee in Oulu!
