However, having a good roommate is the perfect way to make that transition easier. My definition of an ideal roommate would be someone who is compatible, reliable, and organized. Having to adapt to a whole different environment can be stressful and difficult as a roommate while dealing with academic subjects at the same time. Let’s imagine that the roommate, chores have been assigned to them: cleaning the bathroom, dusting off all necessary areas and cleaning floors. Although these chores seem simple, they do not get the work done. At this point I have lost the trust of my roommate because, if these simple task was assigned and they did not obey, what would make me think that they would do a favor for me later on in the future, even a roommate thing, that was assigned to both of us. Not having a reliable roommate can cause a lot of conflicts with each other as roommates, because there are a lot of disagreements that I do not agree with. Instead a reliable person would be the one that you can trust and know that they would keep their world with whatever the situation is.
