What is it like to live in Nyíregyháza? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city is peaceful and economical but the communication is closed especially when you are from a foreign country due to low level of English knowledge however, the people are quite friendly and i can recommend it.

What is the student lifestyle like in Nyíregyháza?

It's interesting and welcoming because there haven't been a lot of international students in the city. As a matter of fact, we were the first set of foreign students to study at the faculty of health in Nyíregyháza so, that earned us much admiration of the people.

How much does it cost to live in Nyíregyháza?

This has a relative answer. Cost of living would depend on individual and on various factors but all i can say is that, it costs less to live in city like Nyiregyhaza than Debrecen or Budapest.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Nyíregyháza? Is there any advice you can give?

It depends on what kind of accommodation you are looking for.
The easiest to get as students is dormitory or hostel as the case may be. But it is quite difficult to get private accommodation as a foreign students because the indigenous people haven't had exposure with foreigners especially with different skin color.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is nice but some were very strange to me. But i later developed interest in them.
I like pizza.

What places would you recommend visiting in Nyíregyháza?

The Roman Catholic Church at the city centre and of course, the whole of the city centre.

Is it good to eat out in Nyíregyháza? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, it is good.
My favorite is MacDonald's

Is the nightlife good in Nyíregyháza? Where is good to go?

Yes, but i rarely at night.

What advice would you give future students heading to Nyíregyháza?

They should be opened as possible and try to learn some 'Magyar' as it would help to get the best out of the people of Nyiregyhaza because, language is the main framework of communication.
