Experience in National University of Ireland, Maynooth, Ireland by Ciara
Generally, what is National University of Ireland, Maynooth like?
It's a very homely and welcoming university, perfect for people that probably get homesick, you'll be well looked after. Staff are lovely and facilities are pretty good. Not as wild for parties as Dublin but lots of societies to join. Quintessential Irish atmosphere I think.
What are the facilities like?
The facilities are standard I think
What are the tutors like?
They are lovely from my experience and they will be very helpful if you need them
Are the lessons easy in National University of Ireland, Maynooth?
Yes, from being on Erasmus and seeing other colleges, I think passing classes and doing very well is very easy here in Maynooth. I would go as far to say it's like secondary school, not much independent learning which suits some people
Does the University organise activities? If so, what are they like?
The societies around the college are very busy and I think you will easily find a society to fit any hobby
Do you think there is a good quality of teaching?
In my field of psychology I think the teachers are passionate and informative but I cannot speak of other faculties.
Are there any stories you can share?
One thing that sticks with me about Maynooth is how the student union look after everyone during exams, they really care. And the big parties like "Christmas Day" and the beach ball are really good fun
