During this summer, I’ve been having an experience in The UK, particularly in the area of Nottingham, and I’ve found out a place you should definitely not miss, 400 Rabbits!
For me, this is not just a bar with great cocktails, but also a great place to know people and to bring your friends and spend a really good time if you don’t know what to do around the city.
400 Rabbits is a bar with an incredible and particular atmosphere, not only because the nice decoration that it has, but also for the friendly and really experienced bartenders that serve you there. By time you enter in that place you realize that the atmosphere is friendly, that this is a place to relax, forget your social phobia and start talking to the people next to you. Hopefully you may make great friends as I did.
The main protagonist of the place is: TEQUILA! And not only for the shots, but also for the great amount of original flavored cocktails that are served there, that are reeeeeally tasty and also nicely dressed, they are really beatiful (and nice to put in a picture on Instagram if you are one of those people that like to do that). 400 Rabbits has a wide variety of tequila and mezcal, some of them are original from the place so you won’t find them in any other place!
Another thing that is great about that place is that, upstairs, it has lots of different games to play with people: table football, genja, table games... It even has an old console that has lots of old games as the FIFA 1997! (Dude, compare that to the games of today x)) But, however, my favourite one is a game I found out there: ‘Cards against Humanity’ I don’t know if you’ve ever heard about that game, but for people who like dark humor this is a great game, and, in my opinion, the best game to break the ice and make some friends... I’m not going to explain you how it works, find out yourself ;)
Last but not least, I really need to point out the fact that this is a bar with a story. The name is based in some sort of Aztec god called Mayahuel, the fiery Aztec goddess of alcohol. This goddess gave the responsability to guard her precious alcohol, but, instead, they all got drunk and partied. Best spirit for a bar ever.
To conclude I’ll just say that you can find out when they open writing the name down in google, but the most important thing is that there’s a happy hour everyday from 5pm to 8pm, during that time all cocktails are same-priced: 5£!! I hope you like it, enjoy a lot.
thanks for reading.
