In terms of food on the island, I would recommend Amabi, which is a Spanish restaurant that will make you feel more at home.

What places would you recommend visiting in Newport?

Speaking of Newport, I have to talk about keeping yourself on the island (Wales) as there are huge beaches (not in Newport though), some incredible views from the Needles, and there's the possibility to go on a boat, submarine, etc.

Amabi, which is a Spanish restaurant in Cowes with a family atmosphere and some very Spanish smells and aromas.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Newport?

Depending on what you like, I would recommend going to Cowes for the pubs and clubs. However, they're nothing like the Spanish clubs as they don't let you in before 11 and they close at 2, so I would recommend going with a group of friends to the pubs in Cowes or Ryde that have live music.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Newport in the future?

Forget the nightclubs on the island as that's where you'll find the worst kind of people from here. The people are not worth meeting, especially in a dark club when they're drunk...
