Looking for a private room for the first semester

Hi! My name's Ayla, a Belgian girl currently studying English and Spanish linguistics and literature at Ghent University. I would love to find the perfect accommodation for my stay in Newcastle next semester. I'm looking for a private room, but it doesn't matter whether it's in a shared apartment, a student residence, a studio...

I'd describe myself as social, friendly, outgoing and sporty, but I definitely also need quiet time to wind down, study and chill. I love music, going to gigs and festivals, reading, writing, cooking and eating, shopping, working out, coffee... Flatmates can expect me to take up responsibilities such as cleaning, taking out the trash etc, but also to have a nice dinner together or a fun night out.
