Exchange semester in Paris

I spent last semester on exchange at Edinburgh at Napier University. I can't recommend an exchange programme in this city and at this university enough. The people are so open and helpful and it was really easy to make friends through the many Facebook groups. It was also easy to meet people at uni: the first week of term, a freshers fair is normally held. There, you can find out about sports teams, theatre groups and other interests.

Edinburgh has a lot to offer - there is music, culture, sport and free time activities to suit everyone. The rest of Scotland is definitely worth a visit. If you do go to Edinburgh on your semester abroad, think about what you want to see and plan your trips in advance. Time passes so quickly and before you know it, your semester abroad will be over and you'll only have covered half of your list.

Two insider tips:

1. You really should download a good weather app (such as Google Play) so that you know when to take your umbrella with you.

2. You absolutely have to try some homemade fudge from Fudge-Shops. It's really sweet but delicious!
