I studied at the university in Nanterre and I thought it was a very nice area. It wasn't too expensive and was well-connected.

Not too expensive.

I'm not sure about any advice, but I would say it's easier to find accommodation in Nanterre than in Paris.

There is a shopping centre - Les 4 Temps - nearby.
