February in Vienna
I had the opportunity to have my observership in Allgemeines Krankenhaus, MUW in the month of February. I worked in the Department of Gastrology and Hepatology. The doctors there are just amazing. They are great teachers, very friendly and helpful. They encouraged me to learn more and asking questions was not even one bit intimidating. Shoutout to Dr. Werner Dolak and Dr. Marlene Wewalka. I am so grateful to be a part of this experience. The atmosphere helped me to move ahead in my career in the best way. I have also seen a lot of developed medical technologies.
Talking about the city, it was a bit pricey for me as a student but it was definitely worth everything. It was very clean. The local people are polite and welcoming. Everybody had a smile on their faces. I never felt like the foreign kid because nobody hesitated to help me when I asked for directions. The architecture is so beautiful. I guess I took pictures everytime I left the house. The best means of transport is the Wiener Linie. I bought a "monatliche Karte" for 50 euros. And with that I could commute through the U-bahn, S-bahn and the local buses.
My favorite thing about Vienna was the discipline. People are always punctual. It was very easy for me to fit in. I made a few friends using Tandem. I am looking forward to coming back in August.
Also, I made a small vlog about Vienna:-
