What is it like to live in Muscat? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Muscat is one of the most quite city I have ever seen it's really great to see that all the omani people dress in same way they are really modest and you can find the maximum level of kindness and generous hospitality apart from the weather which is not suitable for most in summer time but during the winter its spectacular ,really warm and really good Muscat In general is such historical place starting from Matrah and all the way down to gala , but as far as I have noticed oman these day they are improving their industry by different instructional projects,

What is the student lifestyle like in Muscat?

I spent more that 5 year in muscat studying, and it was such great experience , for school students it's most preferably to be with family because you are still young and you need something to eat and to take care about you and by the way the food there is not that cheap , but for university student I guess you can handle it but you will need company or will be really bored, yeah for secondary education I prefer the private school for boys and government for girls cuz the girls school are much more organized than the boys

How much does it cost to live in Muscat?

When it come to the cost its really costly comparing to other countries for example if you are student coming alone will be spending around 200 OR it depend upon you cooking skill and many other factors but if you are with family of course you will get bigger house and you can only rent which will cost around 250 to 500 in Muscat but I repeat it will vary,,

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Muscat? Is there any advice you can give?

No it's not, thanks to the online website you need to type ( apartment for rent ) and you will have dozens of websites, but to be honest I prefer to ask the near by shop and keep on searching for the most suitable one it will take time and one more thing never ever forget to negotiate with apartment owners

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

For Arabic background person or Indian one they will not find any problem at all because there's alot of traditional food , yeah in the other side alot of junk food all the international restaurants you will never face any difficulty to find food all kind

What places would you recommend visiting in Muscat?

It depend on you what you are interested ay but don't forget to visit Matrah
