Generally, what is University of Moratuwa like?

University of Moratuwa is the best engineering university in Sri Lanka. It is located in Moratuwa city, which is quite close to Colombo (19km). This is operated under the government, so basically for excellently performed students from school advanced level exams are selected to Engineering faculty and there are only administrative fees which is really cheap. (Only best results count on registration)

What are the facilities like?

OM has 5 main faculties for Engineering, IT, Architecture and Quantity Surveying, National Diploma in Technology. These are also considered as the best degrees in Sri Lanka.

What are the tutors like?

Engineering faculty has the very experienced professors and Doctors. And normally someone has to hold a PhD to be a lecturer in UOM specially in Engineering faculty.

Are the lessons easy in University of Moratuwa?

No. It is famous for advanced engineering education. Sri Lankan people have this thing that "If someone from UOM, he/she is a genius" .
