Experience in Modena, Italy by Alice
What is it like to live in Modena? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
I would recommend Modena because it is a small city where you can find everything you need. It is close to both the mountains of the Appenino and the seaside of the Riviera.
What is the student lifestyle like in Modena?
It could be boring during winter, however there are several discos and pubs, which are spread both in the city and the countryside
How much does it cost to live in Modena?
It depends on whether you live in the city or just slightly out in the countryside
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Modena? Is there any advice you can give?
Yes it could be difficult, but don't stop looking for it. There are many students who come from outside that can help you
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is so good, soooo good that you should visit Modena even just for the food. Tortellini, tortelloni, tigelle, gnocco fritto, tagliatelle and I could go on and on and on
What places would you recommend visiting in Modena?
The city center, the Appenino
Is the nightlife good in Modena? Where is good to go?
The city center, always. During summer there are many festivals and "sagre" in the countryside which are amazing parties where you can eat, drink, dance
What advice would you give future students heading to Modena?
Try to befriend people from Modena, they are very friendly and They will try to help you even when they don't speak English. Furthermore the locals may bring you to private parties which are all about FUN or amazing hidden spots to eat or to relax :)
